The science award "The Alimentarius" of the journal "Die Ernährung" was awarded for the first time to Christina Ukowitz for her master thesis "Method spectrum for the identification of bacterial populations in extraction systems of beet sugar production". She did her master's thesis within "OptiSacch", an FFG-funded project within the “Industrial PhD Programme”, which is carried out at AGRANA Research & Innovation Center GmbH in cooperation with BOKU (Institute for Food Science).
